Restored English Translation of Genesis: Chapter 14

Here is my Restored English Translation (RET) of Beresheet (Genesis) chapter 14.  As usual, it contains the Hebrew names and a glossary for them.  After that, at the very end, is a list of occurrences of the Aleph/Tavs.
Verse 5 is particularly interesting; it mentions that the confederacy that attacked Sodom and Gomorrah had previously struck the Rephaim, Zuzim, Emim and Horites.  The Rephaim were a race of Nephilim, and the others may have been as well.

CHAPTER 14

1 And it happened in the days of Amraphel the king of Shinar, that Aryok the king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer the king of Eylam and Tidal the king of nations, 2 they made war with Bera the king of Sedom, and with Birsha the king of Amorrah, Shinav the king of Admah, and Shemever the king of Tsevoim, and the king of Bela (which is Tsoar). 3 All these were joined together to the valley of Sidim, which is the Salt Sea. 4 They served Kedorlaomer for 12 years, and in the 13^th year they rebelled. 5 And in the 14^th year Kedorlaomer and all the kings who were with him came and struck the Rephayim in Ashterot Karnayim, and the Zuzim in Cham, and the Emim in Shaveh Kiryatayim, 6 and the Chorim in their Mount Seir, to the oak of Paran, which is by the wilderness. 7 And they returned and came to Eyn Mishpat (which is Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalaki, and also the Emorim that lived in Chatsatson Tamar. 8 And there the king of Sedom and the king of Amorrah and the king of Admah and the king of Tsevoim and the king of Bela (the same is Tsoar) went out and they joined in battle with them in the valley of Sidim, 9 with Kedorlaomer the king of Eylam and with Tidal the king of nations, and Amraphel the king of Shinar and Aryok king of Ellasar; four kings with the five. 10 And the valley of Sidim was full of bitumen pits. And the kings of Sedom and Amorrah fled and fell there, and they that remained fled to the mountains. 11 And they took all the goods of Sedom and Amorrah, and all their food, and went away. 12 And they took Avram’s brother’s son Lot and his goods, and went away. And he was living in Sedom. 13 And there came one that had escaped, and told Avram the Ivri, for he lived by the oaks of Mamre the Emori, brother of Eshkol and brother of Aner; and these had a covenant with Avram. 14 And Avram head that his brother was taken captive. Then he led out his 318 trained men, born of his household, and pursued as far as Dan. 15 And he divided himself and his servants against them by night, and struck them, and pursued them to Chovah, which is on the left hand of Damasek. 16 And he brought back all the goods also, and also Lot his brother and his goods he brought back, and also the women and the people. 17 And the king of Sedom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Kedorlaomer and the kings that were with him at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s valley. 18 And Malki-Tsedek, King of Shelem, brought out bread and wine; and he was a priest to EL ELYON. 19 And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Avram of EL ELYON, Possessor of heaven and earth. 20 And blessed be EL ELYON, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave to him tithes of all. 21 And the king of Sedom said to Avram, “Give me the persons, and take the goods for yourself.” 22 And Avram replied to the king of Sedom, “I have lifted up my to YEHOVAH EL ELYON, the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will not take a thread, even to a sandal, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Avram rich’. 24 Nothing for me, save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshkol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”

Verse 23: that I will not take a thread, even to a sandal, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made rich את Avram’.
