Hello, and greetings to all my new followers!  To bring you up to speed, I am preparing a translation of the Bible, called the Restored English Translation (RET).  Today I am posting Beresheet ( Genesis ) chapter 16.  As usual, it contains the Hebrew names , with a glossary of them at the end.  At the end is a list of where the Aleph/Tavs occurred, which are no longer included in the main text. This is the chapter when Sarai has Abram sleep with her servant Hagar.  I do have some comments on this, but I’ll save them for another post. CHAPTER 16 1 Now Avram’s wife Sarai bore him no children. Shabbat shalom, everyone!  At least, it’s the Shabbat (Sabbath) here in Australia.  Today, in addition to being the regular Shabbat, it is also (in Oz) the Feast of Trumpets, known in Hebrew as Yom Teruah.  This feast is described in the Book of Leviticus and, as I pointed out in Does the Torah Still Apply? is still meant to be kept.  Here are Leviticus ‘ instructions on this: And YEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the Israelites, saying, ‘In the 7th month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a set-apart assembly.  You shall do no work of any kind, but you shall offer an offering made by fire to YEHOVAH.  ( Leviticus 23:23-25) [Note: most translations read “no servile work”, but if you look up the Hebrew word for “servile work”, Strong’s H#5656 “avodah”, it actually means “work of any kind”.] So, Yom Teruah is what is called a High Sabbath (or, if you’re a Messianic like me, a High Shabbat), a speci

In my post Dinosaurs: Extinct or Not? I showed that dinosaurs – which supposedly went extinct 65 million years ago – are still alive, in the form of the Burrunjor of Australia and the Mokele-mbembe of Africa.  Today, I will show they also survive as the Loch Ness Monster of Scotland. Loch Ness is a freshwater lake in northern Scotland.  It’s particularly famous for sightings in and around the lake of what has come to be called the Loch Ness Monster or Nessie .  Eyewitness accounts of this creature generally closely resemble the Plesiosaurs – the long-necked marine dinos.  Others resemble the Pliosaurs – which were like Plesiosaurs, but with a larger head and almost no neck.  It would appear that BOTH creatures inhabit the loch (Scottish for lake).
