Pesach - The Feast of Passover

Image
Today is Passover in Australia, for me. (For those following my calendar: Passover is the evening of the 29th to the evening of the 30th in America; my apologies for not getting this year’s Feast Calendar up yet.) J-M's History Corner Today is (in Australia) the first day of the Feast of Pesach, known in English as Passover.  I explain my calendar here: Yom Teruah – The Feast of Trumpets .  You can view my feast calendar here: Feast Calendar . Many think Passover and other Biblical feasts don’t apply because “Jesus did away with all that”.  That is refuted by Yeshua/Jesus’ own words.  See my post Does the Torah Still Apply? . Passover – which occurs on the 14th (NOT 15th) of the month Aviv – commemorates when YEHOVAH/God delivered the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt through Moses, after a delivering a series of devastating plagues upon Egypt.  From the Bible: 6  And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. 7  And the children of Isra

Giants in America - Part 1

Image
A little over a century ago, it was once common knowledge that giants had once inhabited North America.  The Indians had many legends of these beings.  Several of the early European explorers actually saw & interacted with tribes of giants.  Giant bones were not uncommon, especially in burial mounds.  This was an accepted historical & scientific fact. Then the Smithsonian came along, and destroyed much of the evidence (that's actually not just a conspiracy theory, but an established historical fact), and the still-unproven Theory of Evolution did the rest. Here is an article by Brent Swancer for Mysterious Universe on the subject: Perhaps the most intriguing and widely known tale of real giants in the age of exploration began with an account concerning none other than the great Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Between the years of 1519 and 1522 Magellan embarked on his most famous voyage, a Spanish expedition to search for a good route to the Maluku Islands of

Reader Request Friday 27 March

Image
On Sunday , I notified you all that I'm doing a Reader Request; meaning you can ask me any question you want, and I'll TRY to answer them. Well, the day of reckoning has come!  You've asked the questions; now I'll supply the answers. BONNIE HAWKINS ' QUESTIONS Have you written a book? No - BUT I'm writing one; I'm in the middle of editing my Restored English Translation (RET) of Genesis for publication; I've finished editing the translation itself (and the introduction), and am adding the footnotes (which are the final touches).  Hopefully, you'll see an announcement on here in the next few weeks that I've published! SHAHESHAL 'S QUESTIONS Did you like writing from the start J-M or just a few years ago??? Pretty much from the start; when I was younger, I used to love coming up with story ideas (often rip-offs of something I'd read or watched :) ), although actually writing them was another matter.  Blogging - and FanFiction - all
