And my Biblical canon is broader than most – the Protestant 66, the Apocrypha (minus 2 Ezra 1-2 and 15-16), Enoch, Jubilees, the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs, Psalms 151-160, 2 and 4 Baruch, and the Gospel of the Hebrews.

What is your all-time favorite memory of this past summer?
Well, I’m an Aussie, so my last summer ended in February.  Um… I’m really not sure what my favourite memory of it is.
Have you or are you learning a new language?
Well, I’ve learnt some Hebrew and Mandarin Chinese.
Are you more Chloric, Melancholy, Sanguine or Phlegmatic?
This one made me chuckle.  I do sometimes have a problem with phlegm.
What is your favorite drink?
Probably Sunkist.

If you had one more week to live and you could do anything in that time span, what would you do?
Make absolutely certain I was right with God.  Made sure someone knows everything I do (is that possible in a week? :) ).  Research as much of my remaining ancestry as possible (and add as much as possible to my MyHeritage family tree).  Find time to try and watch the movies I wanted to, but hadn’t gotten around to.  Translate as much of the Bible as possible.
In short, a very busy (and somewhat nerdy) week.

Welcome to the 24th edition of My Fortnightly Movie/TV Thoughts .  Last fortnight, I reviewed Home Alone (1990).  This fortnight, I’m reviewing: Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019), rated M for science fiction violence That of course is the Australian rating; in the United States, it’s rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and action. Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker The Skywalker Saga has finally come to an end… for the 3rd time!  (This is the absolute final time… apparently.)  In 1983, it seemed – for years to come – that the saga had finally ended with Return of the Jedi .  Then, 16 years later the Prequels came along, and for the better part of a decade it seemed the saga ended with Revenge of the Sith in 2005 (arguably the best of the franchise).

KJV Only?

The KJV Only movement is a belief on the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible - also known as the Authorised Version (AV) or the Authorised King James Version (AKJV) - that ranges from preferring it over other, later translations, to the belief that it's inspired, perfect, and superior to the original Hebrew & Greek texts, and that all other translations are intentionally corrupt, satanic, and unreliable.  The former is of course entirely a matter of personal preference & opinion, and you won't hear criticism of it from me.  The latter on the other hand... well, that's the focus of this article. The Revelation of the Aleph Tav

In the Bible, in the Book of Revelation, we read: “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending, says YEHOVAH ELOHIM [The Lord God], Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, YEHOVAH of Hosts.” (Revelation 1:8) “I was in the Ruach [Spirit] on the day of YEHOVAH, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a shofar [ram’s horn trumpet], saying, ‘I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.'” (Revelation 1:10-11a) (the speaker of Yehoshua/Jesus) “And He said to me, ‘It is done.  I am the Aleph and the Tav, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 21:6a) “I [Yehoshua] am the Aleph and the Tav, teh beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (Revelation 22:13) That is what the Greek translations of the book (on which our English translations are based) says.  In the original Hebrew and its Aramaic translation, the verses clearly say, “I AM the Aleph and the Tav” .  The Aleph and the Tav are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet – s
