Restored English Translation of Esther: Chapter 2

Today I present my Restored English Translation (RET) of Ester (commonly known as Esther) chapter 2.  As usual, it contains the Hebrew names, with a glossary of them at the end.  You will NOT find this Chapter 2 in most Bibles (nor my Chapter 1).  Despite being part of the original text, they are excluded from most Jewish, Protestant and Messianic translations of Esther.  See The Canon of Scripture, Part 1: The Apocrypha.
CHAPTER 2
1 And Mordekai took his rest in the courtyard with Bigtan and Teresh, the two eunuchs of the King, and keepers of the courtyard. 2 And he heard their deliberations, and searched out their purposes, and learned that they were about to lay hands on Achashverosh the King. And so he told the King about them. 3 Then the king examined the two eunuchs, and after that they had confessed it, they were led away. 4 And the king made a record of these things, and Mordekai also wrote of it. 5 So the king commanded Mordekai to serve in the court, and for this he rewarded him. 6 However, Haman the son of Hamedata the Agagi was in great honour with the king, and sought to harm Mordekai and his people because of the two eunuchs of the king.

  Here is my  Restored English Translation  (RET) of  Beresheet  ( Genesis ) chapter 14.  As usual, it contains the  Hebrew names  and a glossary for them.  After that, at the very end, is a list of occurrences of the  Aleph/ Tavs . Verse 5 is particularly interesting; it mentions that the confederacy that attacked Sodom and Gomorrah had previously struck the Rephaim, Zuzim, Emim and Horites.  The Rephaim were a race of  Nephilim , and the others may have been as well. A History of Marriage - Part 2

It's been 4 months since my A History of Marriage - Part 1 , but I've finally gotten around to the second part.  In Part 1, I discussed marriage traditions of pagan/superstitious origin, and the origin and history of marriage licences.  In Part 2, I'm looking at marriage age, cousin marriage, and avunculate marriage (marriage of a man to his niece, or a woman to her nephew). MARRIAGE AGE (Note: the following is intended purely as a neutral history lesson - I'm not endorsing or condemning anything.) Today, we become adults at 18, and for many that is (or should be) the minimum marriage age.  Has that always been the case? The Werewolves of Ireland

Ah, werewolves.  Popular trope in horror movies and novels.  Usually portrayed as a human who transforms into a humanoid wolf (or as a human-wolf hybrid).  Sometimes the condition (known as lycanthropy) is genetic and hereditary, sometimes it’s the result of a werewolf bite, sometimes the result of a curse.  It’s often (but not necessarily) related to the full moon.   https://youtu.be/TKIbuXsN2F4   https://youtu.be/myjd4uoq6dY https://youtu.be/kzZcDHHNINk However, these nightmarish beasts are not limited to the world of fiction; they are a legendary creature, seen and encountered by many people up until the present day.
