Restored English Translation of Genesis: Chapter 50

Today (as the title suggests) I present my Restored English Translation (RET) of Beresheet (Genesis) chapter 50, the final chapter (yikes!).  As usual, it contains the Hebrew names, with a glossary of them after the chapter.  At the end is a list of where the Aleph/Tavs occur, as they are no longer included in the main text.
(And yes, to clarify: this is MY OWN translation of the Bible.  I'm not posting anyone else's.)

CHAPTER 50

1 And Yosef fell on his father's face and wept on him, and kissed him. 2 And Yosef commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father. And the physicians embalmed Yisra'el. 3 And 40 days were fulfilled for him, for so are fulfilled the days of those who are embalmed. And the Mitsrim mourned for him 70 days. 4 And when the days of his weeping were past, Yosef spoke to the house of Pharaoh, saying, "If now I have found grace in your eyes, please speak in the ears of Pharaoh, saying, 5 'My father made me swear, saying, "Behold, I am dying. In my grave which I have dug for me in the land of Kena'an, there you will bury me." Now please let me go up and bury my father, and return.'" 6 And Pharaoh said, "Go up and bury your father, as he made you swear." 7 And Yosef went up to bury his father. And all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Mitsrayim, 8 and all the house of Yosef and his brothers, and his father's house, went up with him. Only they left their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds in the land of Goshen. 9 And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen. And it was a very great company. 10 And they came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is across the Yarden, and there they mourned with a great and very severe lamentation. And he made a lamentation for his father 7 days. 11 And the inhabitants of the land, the Kena'anim, saw the lamentation in the floor of Atad. And they said, "This is a severe lamentation to the Mitsrim." For that reason the name of it was called Avel-Mitsrayim, which is across the Yarden. 12 And his sons did to him according as he commanded them. 13 And his sons carried him into the land of Kena'an and buried him in the cave of the field of Makpelah, which Avraham bought with the field for a possession of a burying place from Efron the Chitti, before Mamre. 14 And Yosef returned to Mitsrayim, he and his brothers and all who went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father. 15 And Yosef's brothers saw that their father was dead. And they said, "What if Yosef will persecute us, and return all the evil which we did to him on us?" 16 And they charged Yosef, saying, "Your father commanded before he died, saying, 17 'So you will say to Yosef, "Oh now forgive the trespass of your brothers, and their sin, for the evil they did to you."' And now please forgive the trespass of the servants of the ELOHAY of your father." And Yosef wept when they spoke to him. 18 And his brothers also went and fell down before his face; and they said, "Behold, we are your servants." 19 But Yosef said to them, "Do not fear, for am I in the place of ELOHIM? 20 But as for you, you planned evil against me, but ELOHIM intended it for good, for the purpose of making it as it is this day, to keep alive an abundance of people. 21 Now therefore do not fear. I will nourish you and your little ones." And he comforted them, and spoke to their hearts. 22 And Yosef lived in Mitsrayim, he and his father's house. And Yosef lived 110 years. 23 And Yosef saw Efraim's children of the third generation; also the children of Menasheh's son Makir were birthed on Yosef's knees. 24 And Yosef said to his brothers, "I am dying. And ELOHIM will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land which He swore to Avraham, to Yitschak and to Ya'akov." 25 And Yosef made the children of Yisra'el to swear, saying, "ELOHIM will surely visit you, and you will carry up my bones from here." 26 So Yosef died, a son of 110 years. And they embalmed him, and put him in a coffin in Mitsrayim.
