Restored English Translation of Genesis: Chapter 46

Today I present my Restored English Translation (RET) of Beresheet (Genesis) chapter 46.  As usual, it contains the Hebrew names, with a glossary of them afterwards.  At the end is a list of where the Aleph-Tavs occur, as they are no longer included in the main text.
(Note: this is my own translation of the Bible.)
In verse 27, most translations follow the Masoretic Text, Samaritan Pentateuch and Aramaic Peshitta in listing 70 souls.  The Septuagint and Dead Sea Scrolls, however, read 75 souls, as does Acts 7:14, which I have hence followed.  The discrepancy in the numbers is over whether or not Joseph's grandsons are to be counted.  I have followed the Septuagint in counting them.

CHAPTER 46

1 And Yisra'el started on his journey with all that he had, and came to Be'er-Sheva, and offered sacrifices to the ELOHAY of his father Yitschak. 2 And ELOHIM spoke to Yisra'el in the visions of the night and said, "Ya'akov! Ya'akov!" And he answered, "Here I am." 3 And He said, "I AM The EL ELOHAY of your fathers. Do not fear to go down into Mitsrayim, for there I will make a great nation of you. 4 I will go down with you into Mitsrayim, and I will also surely bring you up again. And Yosef will put his hand on your eyes." 5 And Ya'akov rose up from Be'er-Sheva. And the sons of Yisra'el carried their father Ya'akov, and their little ones, and their wives in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. 6 And they took their livestock and their property, which they had collected in the land of Kena'an, and entered Mitsrayim; Ya'akov and all his seed with him; 7 his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed he brought with him into Mitsrayim.

8 And these are the names of the children of Yisra'el who came into Mitsrayim, Ya'akov and his sons: Re'uven, Ya'akov's firstborn. 9 And the sons of Re'uven: Chanok, and Pallu, and Chetsron, and Karmi. 10 And the sons of Shimon: Yemuel, and Yamin, and Ohad, and Yakin, and Tsochar, and Sha'ul the son of a Kena'aniyt woman. 11 And the sons of Levi: Gereshon, Kehat, and Merari. 12 And the sons of Yehudah: Er, and Onan, and Shelach, and Perets, and Zerach. But Er and Onan died in the land of Kena'an. And the sons of Perets were Chetsron and Chamul. 13 And the sons of Yissakar: Tola, and Fuvah, and Yov, and Shimron. 14 And the sons of Zevulun: Sered, and Elon, and Yachle'el. 15 These were the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Ya'akov in Padan-Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were 33. 16 And the sons of Gad: Tsifon, and Chaggi, Shuni, and Etsbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli. 17 And the sons of Asher: Yimnah, and Yishuah, and Yisui, and Beriah, and their sister Serach. And the sons of Beriah: Chever and Malkiel. 18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Lavan gave to his daughter Leah, and she bore these to Ya'akov, 16 souls. 19 The sons of Ya'akov's wife Rachel: Yosef and Binyamin. 20 And Menasheh and Efraim were born to Yosef in the land of Mitsrayim, whom Asenat the daughter of Poti-Pherah priest of On bore to him. 21 And the sons of Binyamin: Belah, and Beker, and Ashbel, Gera, and Na'aman, Echi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Chuppim, and Ard. 22 These are the sons of Rachel, whom were born to Ya'akov. All the souls were 14. 23 And the sons of Dan: Chushim. 24 And the sons of Naftali: Yachtse'el, and Guni, and Yetser, and Shillem. 25 These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Lavan gave to his daughter Rachel, and she bore these to Ya'akov. All the souls were 7. 26 All the souls who came with Ya'akov into Mitsrayim, who came out of his loins, besides Ya'akov's sons' wives, all the souls were 66. 27 And the sons of Yosef, who were born to him in Mitsrayim, were 9 souls. All the souls of the house of Ya'akov, who came into Mitsrayim, were 75.

28 And he sent Yehudah before him to Yosef, to direct his face to Goshen. And they came into the land of Goshen. 29 And Yosef made ready his chariot, and went up to Goshen to meet his father Yisra'el, and presented himself to him. And he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while. 30 And Yisra'el said to Yosef, "Now let me die, after having seen your face, because you are still alive. 31 And Yosef said to his brothers and to his father's house, "I will go up and announce to Pharaoh and say to him, 'My brothers and my father's house, who were in the land of Kena'an, have come to me. 32 And the men are shepherds of flocks, for they have been men of cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all which is to them.' 33 And it will be, when Pharaoh will call you and says, 'What is your occupation?', 34 that you will say, 'Your servants have been men of cattle from our youth and until now, both we, and also our fathers,' that you may live in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd of flocks is an abomination to the Mitsrim."
