Exodus: Gods and Kings

Welcome to the 5th edition of My Fortnightly Movie/TV Thoughts.  Last fornight I reviewed Die Hard (1988) and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984).  Picking this fortnight’s film/series was difficult; it was originally going to be Die Hard 2 (1990), then Ant-Man (2015), then The Ten Commandments (1956), before last week seeing and finally settling on:
  • Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014), rated M for mature themes, violence and coarse language
That is the Australian rating; in the United States, it’s rated PG-13 for violence including battle sequences and intense images.  As usual, following the review will be the film’s trailer, and a clip.  As usual, here’s the disclaimer:
